ALBUM OF THE WEEK: Justin Timberlake

It's been a long time between drinks (seven years to be exact), but Justin Timberlake is back.

And he is in fine form too. Timberlake's third studio album The 20/20 Experience was introduced earlier this year by the lead single Suit And Tie, a song that attracted a huge amount of criticism for sounding dated and not living up to the huge expectations heaped on a comeback single by Timberlake. Luckily for us, Suit And Tie is quite possibly the weakest track on the album, with second single Mirrors being a more accurate representation of the album as a whole. The album mixes old-school soul and hip-hop beats with a crisp, modern production. Even Timbaland's recycled beats somehow manage to sound fresh. Our only (minor) gripe is that like the lead singles, every song on the album sounds like two songs welded together in the middle with the majority of them hitting the seven-minute mark.

You can stream The 20/20 Experience in full on iTunes now, while the album is available to buy from this Friday March 15 (in selected countries).
