After producing one of the best alternative pop albums of 2010 (Happiness), the duo are back with a new direction on album number two Exile. Lead single Miracle gives some indication of where the boys are headed - amping up the guitar and softening the synths. Some critics are comparing the sound of Miracle to Coldplay, a fair comparison; however, the rest of Exile lacks the commercial appeal of its first single. Be warned: Exile is not as immediate or as accessible as Happiness, and is sonically a lot darker; however, there is enough good stuff here to make it worth a listen.
